A Letter from Our Principal

There's a moment that happens at Saint Andrew School that I wish every family could see before they ever walk through our doors.

It's not during a big event or a formal presentation. It's a Tuesday morning, maybe 7:50 a.m. An eighth grader is holding the door when a third grader comes sprinting into the building, backpack bouncing. The eighth grader smiles and says good morning like he means it. The third grader throws up a high-five. 

That's Saint Andrew.

I became a principal after 18 years at Saint Andrew because I believe deeply that a school can be the place where a child figures out who they are, not just academically, but as a person of faith, as a friend, as someone who holds the door. That belief is what brought me to this community, and it's what keeps me here.

So here is what I want every family, both current and prospective, to know:

We will know your child. Not just their name, but their strengths, their struggles, and what makes them come alive. Our teachers don't just teach subjects. They teach kids. Your kids. 

We will tell you the hard things. If something isn't working academically, socially, or otherwise,  you'll hear it from us directly and early. You deserve a partner.

We will challenge your child and support them in doing it. Saint Andrew's approach to learning is individualized because we know that every child grows at their own pace and in their own way. Excellence here doesn't look the same for every student, and that's exactly the point.

We will be a community, not just a school. The families, the staff, Father Hank, and the parish around us are woven together in something larger than any single school year. That sense of belonging is real, and it's rare.

Saint Andrew School is a place rooted in faith and grown in community. I am proud to lead it, and I would be honored to welcome your family into it.
