Good Afternoon!
As we wrap up a warm and busy week at Saint Andrew, we are grateful for the flexibility and patience of our students, families, and staff as we navigated the heat. We look forward to the upcoming long weekend and hope everyone enjoys some well-deserved time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time together!
Bulldog Hustle
It’s time! You can sign up your student for our Bulldog Hustle! The Bulldog Hustle is our annual school fundraiser that supports field trips, curriculum enhancements and tuition assistance. This is a school-wide, fun, spirit-building walk-a-thon held in our parking lot. Our goal is to raise $65,000. Signing up is easy.

i-Ready
Grades 1-8 will start their i-Ready fall diagnostics beginning Wednesday. Kindergarten will begin the week of September 14. Diagnostic assessments help determine your child's individual needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. Parents will receive diagnostic reports in a few weeks.
Save the Date
We look forward to welcoming grandparents and special guests to Saint Andrew School on Friday, October 9, for our Grandparents’ Day celebration for students in grades K–8. Junior Kindergarten students will welcome their grandparents or special guests into their building earlier in the day (look for more specific information from your teachers). To help us plan for this special day, please let us know how many grandparents or special guests each family anticipates attending. Please complete this form by September 21 so we can plan appropriately for our special guests.
Oktoberfest
Our inaugural Oktoberfest & Fall Market is almost here! Join us on Saturday, September 19th from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saint Andrew's Campus for German food, live music, pumpkins, and fall market shopping. Kids will love our Kids Zone, with unlimited games, crafts, and activities all day long. Pre-purchase your wristbands here! (Wristbands will go home with your oldest child on Thursday, September 17th)

Generation to Generation Capital Campaign
Keeping our classrooms comfortable and creating the best possible learning environment for our students are important priorities of the Generation to Generation campaign. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more with our school families about these plans and how you can help make them possible. Campaign volunteers will also be reaching out to families to share more about the campaign. If you’re interested in volunteering and helping with these efforts, please contact cbeach@archchicago.org.
Flag Raising
Our annual Flag Raising ceremony will be held on Friday, September 11 at 8:15am on the turf. All are invited to join us.
Drills
We have completed our first fire drill. On September 15, we will conduct an intruder drill with the assistance of the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and Blue Point Security Solutions. Teachers will prepare students in an age-appropriate manner so they understand the purpose and procedures of the drill. On September 17, we will conduct a severe weather drill.
Day off Camp
There are no classes on Friday, September 26. Game Time Sports will host a basketball camp at Saint Andrew for grades K-8 on this day from 8:30am-2:30pm. GTS Camp Registration 9.25
Don’t Forget!
Monday is Labor Day; there are no classes.
