Academic Achievement
We are proud of Saint Andrew School’s academic achievements and the impressive results of our students’ standardized test scores. Our students have consistently scored amongst the top 15% of the nation’s best Catholic schools on standardized tests in the last 5 years. Our Accelerated Program also challenges those high-achieving students who score above the 90th percentile on the standardized tests in Reading and Math.
Field Trips
Saint Andrew School students benefit from a vast array of field trips throughout the school year that supplement the lessons they learn in the classroom. Beginning in Junior Kindergarten, our youngest students visit a local fire station and enjoy theater productions. Our Kindergarteners and 1st and 2nd graders visit the zoo, museums, theater productions and a pumpkin farm. In 3rd - 5th grade, the classes visit art and history museums, as well as movies that are relevant to their classroom work.
Our middle school students visit museums and/or attend presentations that pertain to their art, language arts, science or Spanish curriculum. In addition, the 7th grade class spends a day in Springfield learning about our state government and the 8th graders travel to Washington, D.C. for a jam-packed 3 day trip. Our 7th and 8th graders consistently rank these trips among the highlights of their time at Saint Andrew.
