Admissions & Enrollment
Q: Do you need to be a parishioner to be accepted?
No, you do not need to be a parishioner to be accepted.
Q: Do you accept students of all faiths?
Yes. While we are a Catholic school rooted in the teachings of the Church, we welcome families of all faith backgrounds who support our mission and values.
Q: Does SAS offer financial aid?
A: Tuition assistance is available. We strive to work with all families to make a Catholic education a reality. Eligibility is verified by an outside company, FACTS Tuition Management. Tuition assistance applications are available here.
Q: When is the application deadline?
A: Applications are due by February 2nd. All applications submitted by this date will be included in the first round of admission offers. Applications received after February 2nd are still accepted; however, admission decisions will be made based on available space.
Faith & Values
Q: How is faith integrated into daily learning?
Prayer, religion classes, and values-based lessons are woven throughout the day, creating a foundation of faith and character for each student.
Q: Do students attend Mass during the school week?
Yes. Students attend mass weekly and on Holy Days of Obligation, often participating as readers, altar servers, and choir members.
Academics & Enrichment
Q: Do you offer enrichment programs (STEM, art, music, foreign language)?
Yes. Students have opportunities in Spanish, music, art, technology, and physical education, in addition to academic clubs, STEM activities, and leadership programs.
Q: How is technology used?
A: Technology at Saint Andrew is used as a tool to enhance learning. We take a balanced, intentional approach: teachers integrate iPads and Chromebooks into lessons when it supports the curriculum, encourages creativity, or helps students practice essential skills. Hands-on learning, discussion, collaboration, and traditional instruction remain at the heart of our classrooms, with technology serving as a helpful supplement rather than the focus.
Student Life
Q: Do children in PK & K take naps?
Naps are encouraged in PreK and JK. Children unable to nap may spend quiet time on their sleep mats.
Q: Are snacks offered at SAS?
PK and Kindergarten students eat snack each morning provided by SAS.
Q: What is your allergy policy?
PreK–JK students eat morning snacks and lunch in their classrooms daily. Nuts are prohibited in classrooms.
K–8th Grade students eat lunch in the gym, where several tables are designated as nut-free zones.
Extended Care & Family Involvement
Q: Do you have before- and after-care?
The before-school program begins at 7:00 a.m. and is free of charge.
Extended Day is available to students enrolled in the full-day program. It begins at dismissal and ends at 6:00 p.m. There is a $50 registration fee, and families are billed at $10 per hour per child.
Q: What is the volunteer commitment?
Families must volunteer a minimum of 15 hours per family through events directly related to or benefitting the school.
