Junior Kindergarten (4 Year Olds)

                              JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN NEWSLETTER

From the Teachers…

The students have loved playing in the Grocery Store in our dramatic play area, thank you for all your donations! Next month is “Santa’s Workshop,” We are looking forward to learning how to wrap presents at our wrapping station.
Please continue to dress your children warmly and label all their clothing. As more and more students begin to catch colds, please remind them about ways to avoid spreading germs. Here in Junior Kindergarten we ask the students to sneeze and cough in their elbows, and use hand sanitizer often or when hand washing is not an option.
Early Childhood is participating in a Christmas service program called the “Hat and Mitten Tree.” We are accepting any new adult or child winter hats, gloves or scarfs to be donated to the Night Ministry, a Chicago organization that serves families in need. We will be decorating our class tree and the main building tree with the donations until they are dropped off before Christmas. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
A great place to find fun educational worksheets for extra practice over winter break are: jumpstart.com, the moms section will be most helpful.  Scholastic.com and education.com also have great printable worksheets.
Donations for our dramatic play center are always greatly appreciated. We are looking for tape, ribbon, bows, and cards to fill our Santa’s Workshop.
